About us
Vineyards
Cekorovi Vineyards are situated in the heart of the Tikvesh wine-growing region. This region enjoys dry, hot summers and mild winters, receiving average annual rainfall of 460 mm. We carefully selected the hillside to plant our grapevines. There the grapes benefit from the naturally concentrated flavours deriving from the well drained, thin soil that produces high quality grapes.

Fruit Handling
We strongly believe that wine is made in the vineyard, and our wine making techniques embrace nature. This philosophy is reflected in hand harvesting and careful treatment of the fruit during fermentation and aging.

Winemaker

Kiril Cekorov, M.sc. is the owner of the winery and head winemaker. After thirty years of working in the biggest winery in Macedonia he finally realized his dream to make high quality wines under the Cekorov brand. Kiril Cekorov unselfishly puts his love and energy into producing limited quantities of top wines enjoyed by the most discerning wine lovers.

Winery
Cekorovi Winery is a family owned and operated winery. Established in 1998 by Kiril Cekorov's family, the winery is now managed by their daughter, Divna Jordanovska, and their son-in-law who is heavily involved in the winemaking process. The whole family is committed to making wines with excellence.
Others about us
"Cekorov has shown to be among the best wines in Macedonia. I was very much surprised by the clear fruit and bursting flavor - and also the balance of those wines."

Vranec wine from Cekorovi impressively has proved that this sort is capable of excellence.
2003 for its fine fruity, cherry bouquet, opposed by the remarkable ingredient structure.

The
2002 brings out heavenly cherry tones in the nose, packed in a decent violet aroma. The depth of the fruit on the palate is enormous, but the wine is still light, alive, generous and extremely pleasing.

We liked the
2001 for its initial ripeness and the tenderly sweet tones of plums opposed by the ripen ingredients and found it just ready for drinking.

"I have had the pleasure of working with the Macedonia grape and wine industry for the last two years and find that the Chekorovi wines, especially the Vranåc, are consistently among the best of the Macedonian wines. This small family winery takes pride in presenting high quality products that the consumer knows are reliable and consistently excellent wines."
